We're ranking each on a scale of 1 to 10

Sandite Billiards & Grille -
Sand Springs
NEW!
Atmosphere: 7
Sound: 8
KJ: 8
This a new karaoke location for longtime Tulsa KJ Rich with
Howling River Productions. It's a
billiards hall with - check this out - NO SMOKING! The facility is one
big long open room with 20+
pool tables and karaoke in one end. There is a full menu (the
cheeseburger is tasty!), and
there is a small bar area that serves your favorite beers. The night we
went, the place was
filled with mostly teenagers, who were much more interested in playing
pool with their friends
than listening to karaoke. There were a total of 5 singers, so if you
want to sing a LOT, this
is the place. Rich is a good KJ, but was mostly quiet on the microphone
the night we went,
because there honestly wasn't a whole lot of audience to perform to. The
sound was decent,
not the best we'd heard, but FAR from the worst. He has over 500 CDs of
karaoke tunes, so
he's got whatever you want to sing. We were a little disappointed with
the TOTAL lack of
audience appreciation, but karaoke night here is a very new thing. As
soon as people start
coming, the fun-ness factor will increase. This is one of the VERY few
NO SMOKING karaoke
venues in the area, and that in itself is a great reason to visit. All
that's missing is YOU!
Million Dollar Elm Casino -

Wow - what a system Mr. Magee has! All the best equipment,
and we especially liked the dual
video screens that showed music videos between karaoke singers. First
class setup all the way.
Amazing song list of probably 40,000 songs or more, all indexed on a
laptop PC that you can
browse - no paper songbooks. Jim did a good job of keeping the show
moving, and was a
pretty no-nonsense kind of KJ. On the negative side, the casino is very
noisy, and sometimes
the vocals were drowned out by the ringing slot machines behind us. The
list of singers was
fairly long, and we only got to sing twice. The singers mostly did pop and
urban tunes, not
a lot of country like nearly everywhere else in Tulsa. Drinks were cheap
and strong, and the
food selection was great. We'll go back, but we'll have to practice a few
Soulja Boy tunes
first. -KT Staff
Rooster & Roses -
Cleveland
Atmosphere: 7

This place is a bit of a drive
from Tulsa, but worth the trip. Jim Simpson is KJ here, and is one
of the better KJs that Tulsa has to offer. The sound was good, the people
were EXTREMELY
nice, and a great time was had by all. Probably 90% country karaoke here,
and some very good
singers. Full menu, and drink prices were very reasonable. The singer list
got pretty long, but
Jim does a fine job of moving things along with minimal delay. Thumbs-up! -KT Staff
I was at Rooster and Rose last
Saturday night and I had an absolute blast. The KJ was
awesome and the folks from Karaoketulsa.com were extremely entertaining.
It was a little
intimidating because there were some really good singers. I hope to see
you all there again.
-Tina
We went to Roosters and Roses this
past Saturday. We had a blast, the atmosphere
was great, the K.J., Jim was wonderful, and very efficient, and the
audience was very
appreciative of the singers. A great place for the "Serious Karaoke
Person"! We've been to
most in around Tulsa, and this is the best as far as we're concerned! Of
course if you don't
like Country Music, you might not come. It seemed to be the music of
choice.
See you there! -TA
Roadside
Pub - Tulsa
Atmosphere: 6
Sound: 6
KJ: 5
We did not have a good time here. The sound was terrible,
the KJ was obviously new, and the
smoke was thick. KJ had problems with his rig, and had no backups - if you
didn't
bring your own discs, you couldn't sing. The sound was tinny, and grating
on your ears.
Don't be fooled by their advertising - this is NOT the place to go for
Karaoke in Tulsa. -KT Staff
I had a blast at the Roadside Pub. Since i first started going here they
have put in a new
system and have over 14,000 songs to choose from and can download just
about any song that
you want to sing. The atmosphere her is awsome and the people all get
along. This is a place i
would hangout at all the time. They have great specials and great
employees. -D (KT reader)
I thuroughly enjoyed this bar! The crowd was upbeat and quite eclectic.
The bar itself was
clean, friendly and very welcoming. The KJ J.C. is enthusiastic,
entertaining, talented singer, who
is on the dance floor right along with everyone else leading in all the
latest dances. The music list
was amazing, if they didnt have it in the books they will download it
right then and there for
you!!!
Also the employees get involved as well and sing too! I'll definatly
be
back -Jamie (KT reader)
I really had a good time JC is funny and can get everyone into it. The bar
is one of the
cleanest that I have been into. The bartender was excellent and knew the
drinks that we
wanted. I know that i have found a new bar to hang out in.
-Janet (KT reader)
This is my favorite karaoke place in Tulsa. If you want the best selection
of dance an
karaoke music look no farther. Karaoke Wed-Sun starting at 9:00pm till
close. See you there
lovelys. . -James (KT reader)
After getting the four above reviews one-after-another this past Friday
night, we thought
we'd go back and give
Roadside another shot, so we hopped in the car and visited again that
same evening! On the plus side, it was a LOT better
experience than the last time we went.
The KJ was very entertaining, and loved
the line dances. Overall the show did not 'flow' well.
Too many songs
& videos played between
singers, and it took nearly two hours to get
through the first rotation.
Sound was better than
we'd heard the last time. Drink prices
were very
reasonable, and the
bartender knew how to make our favorite drink - most
bartenders don't.
For a good time out with friends, Roadside's the place to go for sure. But
for a "serious" karaoke
singer, I'm afraid we still can't give it a thumbs-up. -KT Staff
Rock'n
M Bar - Oologah
Atmosphere: 8
Sound: 9
KJ: 8
Quite the drive if you live in Tulsa, but worth the 50 mile
round trip. Nice bar, with very friendly
people, and some extremely good singers. The night we went, there was a
pretty long list
of singers, so you shouldn't expect to sing more than three times, but it
was nice listening to
all the other singers here. Classic country seemed to be the preferred
style. Sharon (bartender
and owner) was the very best singer of the night, and is extremely nice as
well. Connie the KJ
has pretty much every song ever produced for Karaoke, and her equipment is
the best around.
The crowd is very supportive - lots of applause for the good singers, of
which there were many.
Go! Sing! Have fun! -KT Staff
SoCo's
Sports Bar & Grille - Tulsa
Atmosphere: 10
Sound: 9
KJ: 8
Our new favorite Karaoke place. SUPER nice place - full
menu served, reasonable drink prices,
and clean nice restrooms. Connie has the best sound in town, hands down. Best song
selection
I've
ever seen,
the only downside was that there were a LOT of singers, and a good many
of
them were
painful
to listen to. Crowd was younger and more upscale than most places in
town,
and the song
choices got pretty odd as the night went on. You could sing any style
of
music here. -KT Staff
The
Bar - Tulsa
Atmosphere: 6
Sound: 8
KJ: 10
We like Jules - she's one of the best KJs in town. Pretty
no-nonsense, and she is very efficient
at getting singers through the rotation. The sound here is not as good as
her setup at Elephant
Run, because the room is a lot smaller. The place got pretty crowded the
night we were there,
and it was hard finding a seat. Singers were your typical bar crowd. Long
lines for restrooms.
Bar staff was cool, and we had some drinks there that we'd never had
before. Would we go
back? Sure! -KT Staff
Glen's
Restaurant & Lounge - Wagoner
Atmosphere: 6
Sound: 8
KJ: 10
We also like Steve Townsend - he's been doing this a long
time, and is very comfortable in front
of a crowd. Decent song selection, although his songbooks could use some
serious updating. The
bar is a typical Oklahoma bar, but you can bring in food from the
restaurant next door. It's a big
place - lots of room to sit, and there's a big dance floor, although few
used it on the night
we were there. Singers were not great here - but the rotation did go
pretty quickly so you
could expect to sing quite a bit. A bit of a drive from Tulsa, but worth
it. Classic country.

Remington's
Sports Bar - Marriott Southern Hills
Atmosphere: 9
Sound: 8
KJ: 8
One of the longest running Karaoke shows in town. Great
facility with lots of room, and nice
restrooms. Being a hotel bar, you never really know what you're going to
get when you come
to sing. We were there once and listened to a guy who sounded JUST LIKE
JOURNEY, and we
made it through the singer rotation quickly and got to sing several times
each, and we
had an amazing time. The next time we went, there were zero good singers,
a HUGE waiting
list, and it was not so amazing. Fred Anderson is a very competent KJ, and
the sound is
very good. -KT Staff
One thing you failed to mention about Remington's is that the drink prices
are outrageous.
And Fred's song selection is limited in my opinion.

Cowboy
Sharkies - Tulsa
Atmosphere: 5
Sound: 2
KJ: 2
We got the impression that it was an imposition for them to
run karaoke here. They started
nearly 90 minutes late, there was no KJ to speak of, and the equipment
sounded terrible.
Service with our drinks was slow, and nobody wanted to sing. We'll not be
going back. -KT Staff
CJ
Moloney's - Broken Arrow
Atmosphere: 7
Sound: 7
KJ: 8
Rick Berry is KJ here - another long-time Tulsa KJ who is
very good at what he does. Moloney's
does have a full menu available, and is a pretty big place, so seating's
not an issue. Song
selection is huge, and the sound system is very good. We had a bit of a
problem with smoke,
but otherwise have a great time when we go to Moloney's. Lots of variety
in song selection -
you can expect to hear any and every style of music.

Cherokee
Casino @ Will Rogers Downs - Claremore
Atmosphere: 9

Another healthy drive from Tulsa, but another trip well
worth it. You perform on the big stage,
and Steve's rig is piped through the house PA system, and sounds
incredible. Full menu here,
and soft drinks are free. The seating is a LONG way from the stage, and
sometime its hard
for the performers to hear the applause they're getting, and it's almost
impossible to interact
with the audience. Very entertaining singers here - not necessarily the
best singers, but
certainly the best performers are the regulars here. Plenty of restrooms,
and you'd better bring
a lot of money if you want to kill time between rounds by playing the
slots - each singer gets
two songs, and sometimes Steve's not able to get completely through two
rounds. -KT Staff
Elephant Run -
Tulsa

Full menu. Almost always a long list of singers, and not
enough time to get through two rounds.
Jules is KJ, and does a great job. Half price appetizers if you get there
early. -KT Staff
JJ's
Bar & Grille - Sperry

Typical bar. Worst restrooms ever. Sound is good, but the
place gets crowded. Nice crowds sing
everything under the sun. Ron does a good job at keeping the pace upbeat.

I like Carroll Lockhart, super nice guy and a good KJ, but
he seems to have a lot of trouble with
his equipment here. I've never really liked the sound, but it's a fun
place to go, and the rotation
goes pretty quickly, so we keep coming back. Full menu served, and drinks
are cheap. -KT Staff
BobbiSox @

Probably anyone who's ever sang karaoke in Tulsa has sung
here. Nice setup, nice big club,
and I like the monitor mounted to the ceiling. Sound is very good - but
don't expect to sing
more than twice on most nights. -KT

Their bar is not really set up very karaoke-friendly, and
it's VERY noisy. Good song selection,
but last I heard, they were NOT able to play customer's discs. Very
crowded with people who
are not necessarily there for the karaoke. Lots of distraction, and the
sound is poor. -KT Staff
Lots of folks reading your review. My
friends enjoy going for the games and to listen to karaoke.
The sound isn't the best, but the girl running it and the bartenders make
up for it by being
personable and super cool to the crowd! I give it an 8! -E
(KT reader)
a friend told me there was a cruddy
review on bww in broken arrow. it can be a blast and they
get a lot of regulars on tuesday that like the karaoke girl. i haven't
been on a saturdays. the worst
part about going there on tuesday is having to wake up wendsday!
-CA (KT reader)
Granted, BWW it IS a sports bar. The
sound and clientele are set for sports, not singing. I agree
it could use an update, but what lacks in sound the KJ and waitstaff make
up for. KJ is super cute
and gets everyone involved. The bar waiters will call you by your first
name. I suggest you give
it another try! -M (KT reader)
Some of you can sugar coat it all you want
but this site is about karaoke and when it comes to
singing and listening to karaoke, BWW is one of the worst locales I've ever
been to on any
continent. The sound is horrible. The song selection is horrible. The KJ is
average at best.
Service is always spotty there. The better singers don't go there anymore
and it certainly
shows. Low grades all around. -JW (KT reader) NEW!
WestBound

Another place where you get to sing on a big stage. Lots of

drink prices are reasonable. Usually a long list of singers, but Ron does
a kickin job of keeping
everything moving. -KT Staff

Dive bar. Old rundown facility. The regulars sure do have a
good time, but if you're there for
the karaoke, you'd be happier going somewhere else.
